Although the Raiders lead the overall series 55-39-2, these days the Chargers own the silver and black like crazy owns Britney. The Bolts have won eight straight games over Oakland (including four up by the Bay), equaling a franchise record for consecutive wins against the same team. So with San Diego visiting the Raiders on Sunday, I figured this would be a perfect time to give a little edit to what in my opinion is the most beautiful poem in sports, written by the great Steve Sabol and narrated by the legendary voice of NFL Films, John Facenda. Due respect to the original, I thought it was time to modernize it to fit what the Raiders have become. Much has changed since the thing was first penned. Hell, much has changed since the 2-2 Raiders met the 2-3 Bolts back in October. San Diego won 28-14, the first of six straight losses for now 4-11 Oakland. All they have to look forward to now is the draft this April.
