Broom Job: Lakers Polish off the Nuggets in Four
By SportsHubLA | Los Angeles LakersThe Nuggets showed up and played 48 minutes full of effort and heart. Kudos for that. Given the result- a 107-101, sweep completing win for the Lakers- wouldn’t we have all enjoyed it more to see a full fledged, searing, mile high meltdown from D-Town’s finest?
Oh well, can’t win ‘em all.
Kobe (31/7/6) blew up early and late (15 points in the final eight minutes) to push LA, and the Lakers also saw solid work from Pau Gasol (21/7/4), and Lamar Odom, who pitched in with 14/12/4 despite being saddled with foul trouble. With the win, LA moves on to face the winner of the Utah/Houston series, currently controlled by the Jazz, who lead 3-1 heading into Tuesday’s Game 5 in Houston.
