Kobe Bryant, MVP, Leads the Los Angeles Lakers to the NBA Finals
By SportsHubLA | NBA, Kobe Bryant, Los Angeles Lakers
Bill Plaschke of the Los Angeles Times said it best in his column about Game 4: the Lakers keep winning because they have Kobe Bryant, the best player in the NBA.
At no time was that more apparent than Thursday night, when No. 24 put his team on his back and carried it into the NBA Finals, the Lakers defeating the San Antonio Spurs, 100-92.
Kobe was 16 of 30 from the field, scoring 39 points, while adding three rebounds, three assists and two steals. He took over in the second half, during which he scored 23 of his points, and singlehandedly put the Spurs away in the fourth quarter.
As a tribute to the Lakers and Kobe, here are links to all of our stories about the Purple and Gold and the Mamba, as well as links to a selection of our best stories about the league MVP.
